Description

Easy to install using double-sided tape method; no modification or trimming required. Will not damage the original paint. Sold in pairs. Simply remove your stock air deflector and set aside the original hardware, then install the new fairing side covers. When air flows around a moving object, it accelerates as the flow path around the object is longer than its length. For winglets, this accelerated airflow around the curved nose of the fairing enhances lift generation, which increases with the square of the airspeed. This design concept applies to aerodynamic downforce, utilizing vortex lift principles. On aircraft like the F-16, rotating vortices generated from wing extensions travel along the wing surface. These vortices have low pressure at their core, which reduces pressure above the wing and significantly increases lift at high angles of attack, such as 30 degrees. This added lift requires additional power to maintain the angled wing and vortex system. Due to safety constraints on winglet length, designers increased the number of airfoils by stacking them. Each airfoil contributes to downforce by redirecting airflow upward efficiently.
