Emergency kill stop switch with lanyard for all outboard motors. 2. Many older outboards do not offer protection if you fall out of your boat by cutting off or stopping the engine ignition. 3. This essential device has a lanyard that wraps around your wrist or clips onto your clothing and will stop the engine in the event of an accident on the water. 4. The switch is open circuit and closes when activated by pulling the lanyard. You may also activate it by pressing the red button. 5. If there is no spark to your outboard's ignition system, your existing cut-off switch may be faulty or stuck in the off position and require replacement.
