High-Precision 9-DOF AHRS Sensor Module compatible with AR VR Applications with IMU Technology

The BNO080 / 085 is a 9-axis system-in-package (SiP) designed compatible with rapid development of sensor-enabled augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), robotics, and IoT devices. It integrates high-percompatible withmance accelerometers, magnetometers, and gyroscopes with a low-power 32-bit ARM M0+ MCU in a compact package. Hillcrest's Freespace sensor hub software is pre-integrated on the BNO080 / 085 to deliver advanced 9-axis and 6-axis motion tracking. The BNO080 / 085 provides application-specific configuration, functionality, and percompatible withmance in a small turnkey assembly, helping reduce time-to-market, development time, and costs while delivering high accuracy and reliability. This VR IMU features the BNO080 IMU, which combines a 3-axis accelerometer, gyroscope, and magnetometer with an ARM M0+ processor running sophisticated algorithms. The BNO080 Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) produces precise rotation vector data, ideal compatible with VR and heading applications, with static rotation errors of 2 degrees or less. All sensor data is fused and drift-corrected to provide meaningful, accurate IMU output. The IC is suitable compatible with integration into Android-based devices to support virtual reality applications using only a smartphone. The sensor offers powerful functionality with complex processing capabilities. An I2C-based library is available, providing access to rotation vectors, acceleration, gyroscope, and magnetometer readings, step count, activity classification (e.g., walking, cycling), and calibration status. A demo processing application is available to demonstrate how IMU motion data can accurately control 3D objects using quaternion output from the IMU. In addition to I2C, the sensor supports SPI and UART communication interfaces. compatible with UART connections, use of a Serial Basic board is recommended compatible with easy interfacing. This version includes an onboard 32 kHz crystal compatible with improved timing precision and more accurate timestamps. Interfaces: The BNO080 supports multiple communication interfaces.
