Restrictions on plant protection products (PPPs): PPPs may generally only be used on open land if they are used for agriculture, forestry, or horticulture. For applications on other areas (so-called non-cultivated land such as courtyards, garage entrances, sidewalks) or on paved surfaces, you require an exemption from your responsible plant protection service (Section 12 (2) of the Plant Protection Act). The pheromone is specifically formulated for codling moths, so bees and other beneficial insects are not attracted to the trap. Acts selectively against the codling moth. The males are lured into the trap by a pheromone (sexual attractant) and remain stuck to the glue. The females remain unmated, so no eggs are laid. Instructions for use: Apple maggot trap: Assemble as described below and hang in the tree from May to September. Hang the trap at eye level to facilitate inspection. Hang the trap lengthwise to the prevailing wind direction, if possible. Check weekly for infestation and replace the glue base as needed, but no later than after 8 weeks. Change the attractant depot after 6 weeks. 1 trap is sufficient for 5 trees in close proximity. In commercial orchards, 1 trap per hectare should be hung. 1. Lay out the trap body as shown in the adjacent drawing. Fold tabs A, B, and C inward and form the trap into a triangular shape by bending the perforations. 2. Firmly insert the two tabs A and B on the long side from the outside into the pre-punched slots D and E until they click into place. The resulting trap must initially remain open at the front and back. 3. Separate the adhesive surfaces into two parts along the perforations. Then unfold each sticky trap (F). Remove an attractant depot from the packaging and place it on the sticky trap base (G). It doesn't matter which side the depot is placed on. Important: Do not touch the attractant depot with bare hands, as this will impair its effectiveness. Use a tissue, piece of paper, or something similar instead. 4. Slide the glued trap base, including the attached attractant depot, into the prepared trap housing with the glued side facing up. 5. Now fold up the wings on the front and back and lock them with the protruding tips. To hang the trap, push the enclosed wire through the pre-punched holes. It contains two attractant depots and two glue boards, which can be used to refill an existing trap body for one season.
