Description

This method of queen introduction allows for a quiet and natural process, providing the queen more freedom of movement while still protecting her from harm or aggression. Directions for use: Fill the candy area with dry candy. Remove the queen that needs to be replaced from the colony. Select a frame of sealed brood, remove all bees from the frame, and secure the cage over a section of brood. Introduce the queen through the hole and close it with the caps. The queen will begin laying eggs in available cells. After 2 days, the candy will be consumed and the queen will be released into the hive. Check and remove the cage 8–10 days after installation. Maintain a 1 cm gap between the cage and adjacent frames to allow bee contact.
