USB Programming Cable for ERW-4C ERW-7 Alinco Radio USB Programming Cable for ERW-4C ERW-7 Alinco This cable is based on the prolific PL-2303HX USB Serial Bridge Controller and has been designed specifically for quick and easy programming via USB port of the following two-way radio in Alinco: DJ-191, DJ-193, DJ-195, DJ-196, DJ-296, DJ-396, DJ-446, DJ-493, DJ-496, DJ-593, DJ -596, DJ-C6, DJ-S17 (EDS-10 required), DJ-S47 (EDS-10 required), DJ-V17 (EDS-10 required), DJ-V47 (EDS-10 required) , DJ-V5, DJ-X10, DJ-X2000, DJ-X3, DJ-X7, DR-135, DR-235, DR-435, DR-620, DR-635, DX-77. Power is supplied via the interface USB, in accordance with USB 2.0 specifications. This is not a straight forward cable, there is an internal converter board (interface) mounted in the USB shell. The cable communicates directly with the computer via the popular and standard USB interface. A physical serial port connection is not needed because the drivers provided emulate a virtual serial port that communicates with the radio at the required TTL voltage levels.
